Truly amazing. Mayor Mark Funkhouser says he doesn't support an ordinance that limit where volunteers can go and what they can do. He believes the proposal, co-sponsored by nine of the city's 12 council members, targets him. Both sides met to discuss it on Wednesday. His wife, Gloria Squitiro, is a volunteer and works in his office. A lawsuit has been filed against her accusing her of racial and sexual harassment.
He vetoed the ordinance which is apparently unprecedented. Be interesting how the city council reacts.
